    High in fibre, iron, and protein, haystacks are a quick and easy gluten free meal everyone can enjoy.


    • 1 tbs oil
    • 1 large onion, chopped 
    • 2 x 420g can mild chilli beans
    • 400g can crushed tomatoes
    • 500g bottle pasta sauce
    • salad vegetables of your choice, such as sliced lettuce, diced tomatoes, cucumber, grated carrot
    • lite sour cream
    • natural corn chips
    • cheese, fat-reduced, grated


    1. Heat oil in large saucepan, saute onion until soft.
    2. Stir through chilli beans, tomatoes, and pasta sauce and heat through.
    3. Serve bean mixture over corn chips topped with diced tomato, cucumber, shredded lettuce, grated carrot, low-fat grated cheese and a little lite sour cream on top.


    • Experiment by adding some of your favourite seasonal vegetables, such as corn kernels, olives and capsicum
    • Add some guacamole or tomato salsa on top for an extra flavour hit
