Partnering to do good in the Central Coast
"Over the past 20 years, Sanitarium has contributed more food products for our Community Centre and refuges than we could count, but their impact goes much deeper. Their team has volunteered countless hours, provided professional expertise, and helped us develop innovative programs that have changed lives.“ Lee Shearer, CEO, Coast Shelter.
Sanitarium’s commitment to serving others led to the start of its partnership with Coast Shelter in 2004. Since then, we’ve contributed over a quarter of a million dollars and countless pallets of food and essential meal staples to assist those in need.
Over the years, this partnership has evolved—from sponsoring Coast Shelter’s Sanitarium House program, which provided leased homes for families in crisis, to offering both financial and product support for the vital kitchen service at Coast Shelter’s Community Centre. In 2024, we donated close to 7000 serves of Weet-Bix, So Good milk and Up&Go to support the thousands of people who accessed the Community Centre and kitchen for meals, personal hygiene, housing and health needs throughout the year.
Beyond donations, our staff actively volunteer with Coast Shelter, demonstrating a hands-on commitment to making a difference in our community.
