A ready-supply of food for Aussies in need
“Foodbank’s Collaborative Supply Programs are vital. They allow us to move away from the “Surprise Chain” and give us assurance of a regular supply chain. We are guaranteed a regular supply of Weet-Bix in our Foodbank warehouses all year round, ready to assist more than one million people a month and provde breakfast at 3000 schools across the country.” Briana Casey, CEO, Foodbank Australia
Through the Collaborative Supply Program, we donate two million serves of Weet-Bix to Foodbank Australia every year. Weet-Bix is a much-loved pantry staple and the only cereal in Foodbank’s Collaborative Supply Program.
“The Collaborative Pack helps develop sustainable healthy communities, which is not only a key objective of our corporate social responsibility program, but also a key need for many Aussies who are struggling more than ever in these times of hardship.” Kevin Jackson, CEO, Sanitarium Health Food Company.
What is a Collaborative Supply Program?
Since 2010, we’ve worked with likeminded suppliers to donate the ingredients, production, packaging, cartons and transport to produce 2 million serves of Weet-Bix for distribution through Foodbank’s network of charity partners to Aussies doing it tough.
“Many Australians are finding it hard to put food on the table right now so we feel a responsibility to give back and help where we can. Participating in this initiative is something that our company and all our team are proud of.” Aaron Lusch, General Manager, Platypus Print Packaging.
Platypus Print are proudly providing our easily recognisable blue and red 375g Weet-Bix cartons.
“Participating in projects such as these is part of our commitment to making a positive difference in our local communities." Tamara Jackson, Sales Manager, Visy Board
Since 2015 Visy have donated over 29,000 Weet-Bix delivery boxes to the Collaborative Supply Program.
"We are proud to extend our pro bono transport program to support this generous Sanitarium initiative, as together we are helping feed Australians in need." Ramsin Samonia, Key Account Manager, Primary Connect
Primary Connect provide free transport to Foodbank warehouses for the Weet-Bix from the Collaborative Supply Program.
Here at Sanitarium we believe that when every person can access what they need to eat well, life becomes better for us all. That’s why we care for individuals and communities in need, because wholesome food comes with a generous side serving of hope during tough times.
