How are we making our packaging sustainable?

We're taking action in a number of ways to improve the sustainability of our packaging, in line with Australia's 2025 National Packaging Targets.


In addressing the sustainability of our packaging, we've signed up to the Australian Packaging Covenant agreement, and have been part of several working groups to help reduce the environmental impacts of packaging.


We’re using the guidelines to assess and design our packaging, which help us to plan for materials recovery, material efficiency and reducing product waste.


We’ve teamed up with our partners, suppliers and customers to make our packaging easy for you to recycle.

We’re prioritising clear and consistent recycling messages on packaging and consumer facing communications with the use of the Australasian Recycling Label.

We're also:

  • Assessing new technology to allow more recycled content in our packaging​
  • Identifying problematic packaging and investigating alternative solutions
  • Phasing out problematic and unnecessary single-use plastics
