Savory Mushroom Sticky Rice

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup glutinous rice
    • 1 Tbs sesame oil
    • 200g mushroom
    • 1 small chopped onion
    • 2 Tbs tamari
    • 1 Tbs coconut sugar
    • 1 cup So Good Almond Unsweetened

    Method

    1. Step 1

      Soak the glutinous rice for 4 hours or overnight.

    2. Step 2

      Strain and place into a glass heat-friendly container.

    3. Step 3

      Pre-heat a pan to medium heat and place the sesame oil.

    4. Step 4

      Add in the mushroom and cook for 2 minutes.

    5. Step 5

      Add in the onion and cook until translucent.

    6. Step 6

      Add in the Tamari and coconut sugar, and cook for 1 minute.

    7. Step 7

      Place the So Good Almond Unsweetened, and cooked mushroom mix into the container with the rice.

    8. Step 8

      Place in a steamer and steam for 30-40 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked.

    9. Step 9

      Top with chopped spring onion.
