Little bites for little hands make for a fun and festive party platter. Using a few different boards or trays mean everyone isn’t reaching for the same thing – but remember to keep extras in the kitchen to refill popular items!
Ingredients
Prepared recipesStore-bought
- plain popcorn (or create a trail mix with popcorn, choc chips and dried cranberries!)
- yoghurt & granola cups
- cucumber sushi
- mixed fruit skewers
- mandarin segments
- berries
- watermelon soldiers
- dried apple rings
- baby cucumbers
- rainbow capsicum & sugar snap peas
- hummus with broccoli trees
- mini cupcakes or muffins
- pita wedges
- brown rice crackers
- cheese cubes
- Apple slice 'donuts'
Method
- Select serving boards or platters to suit ingredients.
- Place larger items and prepared recipes on boards first, making them the focal point of your platter.
- Add smaller items and bowls such as nuts and dips.
- Add other small elements to fill in the gaps around the main plates.
- To finish your platter add decorative flourishes such as fresh herbs or edible flowers.
