​​​Flu Vaccination is our best defence against stopping the Flu!

Our voluntary Flu Vaccination Program 2023 is now live and ready to offer you the best protection we have against the flu.

Please check the information below to find out how to book and receive your free Flu Vaccination depending on your site 

In addition to the on-site vaccinations, you and all your household family members (people who live with you) can enjoy flu protection for free through the following options:

  • Vouchers: Get vaccination vouchers that can be used at participating pharmacies. Follow this link to get your vouchers https://vitalitybookings.co.nz/
  • Refunds: You and your Household Family Members can choose to attend any pharmacy or doctor and we’ll refund the vaccination cost. Furthermore, if you or your family members have already received a flu shot elsewhere, we will still refund this cost. Follow this link to claim this refund.​​​​​​​

Vouchers

All NZO employees can request a vaccination voucher to get vaccinated at participating pharmacies. You can request free vouchers for all your household family members over the age of 13 as well, and ensure that you all get your shot and are protected. The vouchers can be used until the 31st of July, 2023.

Requesting your vouchers is easy:

  • Click on the link: https://vitalitybookings.co.nz/ then click on Request your voucher here button
  • Fill in the form for yourself as the first recipient. Then fill in the form for each household member who will receive a voucher.
  • After entering your details (first name, last name, work email, company, region/location) click "Submit".
  • The voucher will be sent to your nominated email address within 24 hours. (Please check your spam or junk folders as this will come through from[email protected])
  • Make sure you've received your vouchers - one for you and one for each household family member you've requested it for. The voucher will entitle you to a free flu vaccination at any participating Life or Unichem Pharmacy in your area. Then call your preferred participating pharmacy, or go online to book an appointment.
  • Present the voucher (printed or on your phone) to the participating pharmacy at the time of your appointment, along with your personal photo ID.
  • Get your vaccination completely free of charge.
  • Your voucher will expire 31st July 2023, please receive your vaccination before this date.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Refunds

If you or your household family members have already been vaccinated at your own Doctor's office or pharmacy, we will refund the cost of your vaccine. Follow this link to claim the refund.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Onsite Flu Vaccinations

We have arranged for a Vitality Works nurse to come onsite on the dates and times on the table below.

AMU and DC Night Shift Wednesday 17th May 2023 6.30am - 7.50am AMU First Aid Room No appointment is required. Just make your way to the AMU First Aid Room.

Please take note of the following:

  • No need to wait between having any COVID vaccine and influenza vaccine.
  • Fill in this Vaccination Consent form and bring completed to your appointment and give to the nurse
  • Standard wait time will be 5 minutes post vaccine, unless you have previously reacted or have health concerns – in this case you may require a 20 min wait.
  • While it is possible to catch influenza after immunisation, your symptoms are less likely to be severe.
  • Get immunised to stop the spread of influenza around your community – we want to protect the very young, elderly, immunocompromised and pregnant people who are the most vulnerable.
  • If you are sick, it is still important to stay away from others, wash your hands, and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
  • Make sure you wear suitable clothing, as the nurse will need access to your upper arm

AMU and DC Household Members

We are extending our free Flu Vaccination Program to your household members through the following options:

Vouchers: Register your household family members' names with your PC/ Manager or  Heather Blackburne at Reception by Friday 5th May. They will then arrange for you to collect your vouchers the following week

If you miss the deadline of Friday 5th May and would still like to request a voucher, please contact Heather Blackburne.

Refunds: If you or your household family members have already been vaccinated at your own Doctor's office or pharmacy, we will refund the cost of your vaccine.Simply fill in this PDF Claim Form and hand it to your BetterU coordinator.
