Staff values turn into $15,000 donated to charity
More than 330 nominations were received from our New Zealand staff, up 44% on the previous year. Our National Recipient award was given to night shift worker Pani Wuatai, who demonstrated the values of Sanitarium in her work and interactions with others. Almost $15,000 was donated to a range of charities on behalf of the award recipients.
The 2019 NZ Team Award was awarded to the Marmite Team, unanimously chosen by the SOSA Committee. This collaborative project moved Marmite production from earthquake-stricken Christchurch to the Auckland site, ensuring supply and reducing transport and costs.
