Vegan no sausage rolls

    From the team at 4 Ingredients, this recipe is a fabulous veggie smuggler. Add chopped onion, shallot or corn, grated carrot or zucchini, raisins and any number of fresh herbs.


    • 2 cups baby spinach
    • 415g can Vegie Delights Nutmeat, well chopped
    • ½ cup reduced salt BBQ sauce
    • 2 sheets puff pastry


    1. Preheat oven to 180C.
    2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
    3. Into a large bowl, place spinach, Nutmeat and BBQ Sauce, season and stir to combine.
    4. Roll out both sheets of puff pastry. Cut in half lengthways.
    5. Place one-quarter of the mixture down the length of each strip and roll over itself so the filling is encased.
    6. Cut each into thirds and place (seam side down) onto the prepared tray.
    7. Season each with sea salt and cracked pepper.
    8. Bake for 25 minutes or until puffed and golden.


    • Borg’s puff pastry available in Woolworths is vegan
    • Uncooked rolls can be frozen and baked in the oven from frozen when required
    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired
