Banana oat bars

    Made with the goodness of oats and fruit, these are a great treat the whole family will love.


    • ⅔ cup wholemeal plain flour
    • ⅔ cup white plain flour
    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • ⅓ cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup sultanas
    • 2 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
    • ¼ cup soy milk
    • 1 whole egg
    • 1 egg white


    1. Preheat oven to 180ºC. Line a 20cm x 30cm lamington tin with baking paper.
    2. Mix together flours, oats, sugar, sultanas, baking powder and cinnamon.
    3. Beat banana, soy milk, egg and egg white and add to dry mixture. Mix well.
    4. Place in prepared tin and bake for 40 minutes or until cooked. Cool and cut into bars.
