Apple cinnamon toasties

    A great tasting, healthy lunch or afternoon snack that your kids will love.


    • 12 slices wholemeal bread
    • 425g can apple pie filling or stewed apples
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • ¼ cup sultanas
    • 1 tsp honey


    1. Place apple, cinnamon, sultanas and honey in a bowl and mix well.
    2. Using a toasted sandwich maker, or non- stick pan, place one slice of bread on hot plate.
    3. Put a spoonful of apple mix in the middle and then another slice of bread on the top and close sandwich maker. Cook until golden brown on both sides.


    • Stewed pears could also work well in this recipe.
